1911 Pistols, Target, Competition, Carry
Our Custom 1911’s are truly Custom in every sense of the word. We use the best of the best internal components and “every piece is touched” meaning it is machined and fitted to the tightest of practical tolerances.
Every surface that should be polished is honed and polished properly. Triggers are set to customer specifications, not to what some marketing guy thinks will sell. Frames are cut to fit the customer with finger undercuts if required and smoothing and shaping of the finger guard entry is shaped to the customers feel.
Grips, beavertail, mainspring housing arched-flat-checkered-smooth, options are endless. Choice of Stainless Steel, polished or brushed; Blued steel or a combination of both, or go nuts with Cerakote colors.

Custom Slide Fitting & Milling
Need to take a little weight off the top of that Glock® slide to lower the center of gravity after the guide rod change? How about mounting that red dot sight on it also? Need the mounting holes drilled and tapped and the slide cut? Same for your wife’s 1911?

Custom AR-Platform Pistols
The team at L&D Customs Firearms also offers custom AR-Platform pistols. This Short Barreled AR style firearm is fabricated with an ATF approved “Arm Brace” instead of a buttstock so it is not used like a rifle.
An extremely popular firearm used for home defense when chambered in the .300 Whisper or Blackout, 9 mm Luger, .40 Smith and Wesson and .45 Auto cartridges.
The short barrel (typically 4” to 8.5”) allows for a very short overall length good for maneuvering about the interior of a house. Even with the added length if a silencer.

Restoration of Grandpa's Old Gun
Restoration of older firearms to any level. Whether you want to it look and function just it came off the rack at the local hardware store when gramps bought it a long time ago, or just cleaned up to stop the years of storage and wear and return it to safe operating condition we can do that for you.
One step further than the complete restoration and you may find on some of the older rifles, the walnut stocks are of such fine quality that they can be refinished to a beautiful near Presentation Grade with Master Class Bluing for a truly wondrous keepsake.

Proper Scope selection and set up is as important to a successful hunt or consistently high scores on the range as a quality firearm.
Most experts feel you should spend as much on your optics (or more) than your firearm (we agree).
We Spend the time to level the crosshairs to the action and square to the earth, torque your mounts and rings properly and assure correct contact to the tube.
We also make sure your eye relief is correct for you and battle zero or zero at a set distance. We can help with optics selection as well.

Pistol Caliber Carbine
Commonly referred to as the PCC, the Pistol Caliber Carbine is an AR Platform Rifle chambered in popular pistol calibers. It is becoming so popular that the platform has it’s own professional shooting competition class with many of the top pro shooters in attendance.
A typical PCC for competition will have a top quality Carbine length (of course) match quality barrel 16” to 18” in length with a red dot or fixed power scope, adjustable butt stock with cheek weld adjustment as well. The fire control system is all AR top notch equipment set up as the customer prefers and the color palette is un-ending.
Many consider the PCC for home defense as well. The minimum 16” barrel length meets ATF requirements for a rifle and an adjustable butt stock is allowed. Chambered in any of the pistol calibers meant for personal defense, they are outstanding tools for protecting ones person and family. Imagine a .45 Auto semi auto rifle in defense of you and your families lives. I feel safer already. Outfitted with a light and/or a laser to complement a red dot sight and you are a formidable adversary.

Pillar Bedding
Pillar Bedding adds an instant degree of consistency to your shot groupings and you’ll notice how “solid” and “tight” your rifle feels once we perform the L & D Custom Arms, Pillar Bedding to your rifle. We manufacture our pillars from Steel and the radius of the mounting surface that mates the action to the pillar is precisely matched for maximum support and minimum movement. No such thing as close counts here.
If your rifle has plastic lower guards they are replaced with metals if available or if your stock has plastic escutcheons front or rear, they are also replaced with metal. Not only is the Action Pillar Bedded, but the barrel is fully Full Floated and Recoil Lug and Tang Bedded as needed.
Bedding
If your new rifle is already Pillar Bedded from the factory (some are as in composite stocks) but the forearm lacks stiffness and interferes with the barrel when rested or your groups still need something to “bring them in”, Bedding The Action may help reduce the effects of stress imparted to the barrel from the action or stock. Glass or Epoxy bedding and or forearm stiffening may just the ticket for that.

L&D Custom Arms, LLC. believes strongly in the rule of law. As such, we are a Federal Firearms Licensed manufacturer and retailer of hand guns and rifles in the United States. We follow all US Federal and State regulations for the legal transfer of ownership to each customer. This is non-negotionable – law and order every time.
What is the Process for Shipping Firearms to Me?
Once our work has been completed, L&D Custom Arms will work with you to begin the legal transfer of firearms to the State and Municipality you live. In most cases, we will direct ship finished projects to a local gun shop of your choosing in compliance with the Federal Firearms Act.
